Ms. Hess has a very focused yet fun way of teaching. She is very passionate about art and literature which is shown in the discussions we have in class.

Miss Hess has taught me SO many life lessons throughout the 4 years I’ve had her as a teacher. She is a charming, caring, and highly intelligent person, who always strives for the best for her students. I was lucky to have Miss Hess both as an English teacher and a Theatre teacher, and she never fails to inspire her students and encourage them to embrace every challenge. Miss Hess is not only a phenomenal teacher, but a phenomenal person. I’ve developed a great, trusting relationship with Miss Hess throughout the afterschool theatre program, and I know she is someone all students can go to, whether they are asking about proper MLA format, or life advice. She never fails to remain a source of wisdom and positivity. I cannot thank Miss Hess enough for the past 4 years, and I have no doubt she will continue to better the lives of those she touches.

Throughout the months I have spent with Miss Hess, I have learned much more than understanding the concept of theatre. Not only have I learned the history of acting but also the value of friendship and teamwork. Miss Hess is a blessing to have as a teacher and someone who many would inspire to learn from.

Miss Hess...an interesting creature. Happiest with cats (animal or musical) but doesn’t mind teenagers either. In fact, she can effectively coordinate, instruct, and still find a way to befriend her students. Even when the student is resistant, she still knows how to coax something they didn’t know they had within themselves. Also, she (like a cat) is stealthy. One second you are walking alone in the hallway and the next she is by your side and you’re like WHA WHA WHAAAAT HOW SHE DO THAT?!? Anywho, I highly recommend a Hess. Not just as a teacher, but a mentor that will make the unknown world a little less scary.

Miss. Hess is a great teacher that really brings happiness and life into the classroom. Being able to work beside her in Tech class and during shows it makes me excited. Because I know when she is teaching or directing she is doing the right thing. During class she is very nice and funny, but during shows she puts on her coach hat and gets the job done. All I am saying is that she is a get teacher but most of all is she a great person!

Ms. Hess is a really great teacher, she allows us to express our ideas (within constraints) in the shows based on our visions, mixed slightly with her own, which is really fun and helps me practice making my ideas into real life.
